Flood photos

If you've been following this photo blog you will remember this chicken coop.  Here it is again minus the weeds and greenery around it; instead it is surrounded by snow with a background of water.  The water you see is normally grain fields.  You can see our small town in the background.  The town is about 2 miles away.

 Just north of our place, the dry creek bed now filled.

 Blackie kept Blondie and me company on our walk and stopped long enough for a photo.  Tess, the bichon, was too busy running.

The creek filled and overflowing, winding around our home traveling north and crossing our road.  Here I am standing on our road and looking west and our neighbor - you can  see their red barn - a mile away.

Our road covered with flood water.  This photo is facing north, turning to the left (west) would be the neighbor of the red barn in the photo above.

Mud boots are good.  

Pretty mud boots are better.
